Location: Federation Square, Vic, Australia April 2005
Federation Square is in the heart of Melbourne poised on the edge of the yarra River across from Flinders Train Station and St Pauls magnificent Cathedral. This is one of my most FAVOURITE sites in the world for its unique architectural design and it's terrific mix of social and cultural places and activities.

This version is especially designed for families with children aged 5 - 12... and will be hosted over the April School Holidays.
SCOOT is narrative driven with a story that will lead players on a journey of discovery around the site solving clues located both in the real world and the virtual world. During the course of the game players will receive information via SMS messages to their mobile phones and will be need to post their answers to the games clues by SMS back to SCOOT.
As part of their journey around the site players will be introduced to Federations Square and its surrounds. This orientation will not only be spatial, as the game will explore the history of the area and the activities that occur there. These elements will be built into the games narrative and puzzles and will be reflected both in clues in the real world and the virtual world.
SCOOT @ ACMI will offer visitors to the site a dynamic new kind of spatial experience. It will introduce and engage visitors with the site in a fun and non-didactic manner. It will offer participants a new kind of interactive experience at Federation Square and new ways of thinking about public space.
